MedDisabilityCalc is an independent, client-side coverage-gap calculator and education hub for physicians evaluating disability insurance. It's built specifically for this niche — specialty-level income data (10 tracked specialties), a 5-carrier comparison, and in-depth guides on own-occupation definitions, group LTD limitations, and riders — rather than a generic financial calculator with insurance bolted on.

We are not a carrier and not a licensed insurance agency. We don't sell, quote, or bind policies. Visitors who want an actual quote are the audience a referral partnership is meant to serve.

Where we point a visitor to a partner brokerage, we structure this as a flat fee per qualified referral — not a percentage of premium, and not contingent on the policy closing. This is disclosed to every visitor in the footer of every page on this site, and it's a deliberate structural choice: staying on the marketing/referral side of the line rather than commission-splitting keeps us clear of activity that would require an insurance producer license.

We're currently evaluating 1–2 partner brokerages for this relationship and are not exclusively committed to any single partner yet.
